Welcome one and all
This is the official website of PD Trevett and I am the author of the Jackara Series. Welcome and make yourself at home.
If you enjoy reading stories about advanced civilisations and governments with political conflicts, interplanetary battles, legendary heroes, seductive heroines, dastardly villains and scheming aliens, then you have come to the right place. Jackara has that in abundance.

My protagonist is Commander Gillman Jason Stacey, who works for Nascentinel Command as a Special Investigation Agent. He is a larger than life hero, who thinks nothing of risking his life to confront dangerous criminals. But when the mental shields of his telepathy start to deteriorate, the last thing he needs is to be hurled into a high-octane world of high stakes and murder.

I currently live in Hampshire with my partner and a colony of pampered cats. When I’m not writing at my desk, I enjoy reading articles on space, science and technology. I also love exploring new places and trying new things.
I hope you enjoy the Jackara series and would like to thank everyone who has helped make it possible.
Live for the present and appreciate the moment, because you can never change the past and the future is uncertain for each and every one of us.

JACKARA
BOOK ONE PSYCHIC MELTDOWN
Psychic Meltdown takes the reader on an epic adventure into the future, where humanity has colonised planets outside the Terra Solar System and made contact with alien races. Yet while many people are content with the fruits of their labours, others hunger for power and will do anything to acquire it. However, no one is prepared for the arrival of the Jackara - a bioengineered race of parasites that see murder as a means to an end.
Commander Gillman Jason Stacey has a major problem. His telepathic shields are on the blink and that’s bad news for his sanity. Right now, he is ill-equipped to deal with the Jackara. But that isn’t about to stop him.
With orbital departure due in a few days time, CaptainTarriq has a luxury spacecrusier to resupply. The last thing he needs is for two of his crew to be caught in a raging fire and a third to go missing. He suspects that Jason Stacey knows more about the situation than he lets on, but seeing as how the special investigation agent is a telepath, that’s hardly surprising. With the lives of his crew at stake, he needs to put his fierce prejudice for telepaths aside. But as a Tarkavian, is that possible?
Patrol Officer Wallace Buchanan is on top of the world. He has recently fallen in love and his day can’t possibly get any better. Unfortunately, his world is about to be turned upside down by a Jackara.
Three men. One war.

JACKARA
BOOK TWO ENDGAME
Endgame takes over where Psychic Meltdown leaves off. Commander Gillman Jason Stacey has delivered a crushing blow to the Jackara on the Crofter Sea-villa, but in the process, Wallace Quagarman has escaped. Nevertheless, with his telepathy firing on all cylinders now, Stacey is confident he can locate the headquarters of the Vultaire Organisation and apprehend the psychopath in charge of it before more lives are lost.
The arrival of the Causions in orbit around Simos Two is bad timing. But when they board the Atlantean, Stacey has no choice but to take matters into his own hands in order to evict them. In doing so, his past is exposed.
The daring rescue of a presidential agent in the steamy jungle...the abduction of the Terratinuum President...a crippling attack in space...Stacey has his work cut out for him. The endgame is approaching fast. Will good prevail or will evil win the day?
But with Defence Division Agents attached to the clandestine Pandora Agency lurking in the shadows, watching Stacey's every move, is the net finally closing in on the agent?

Commander Gillman Jason Stacey
Brave, honourable and loyal, Jason Stacey can be relied upon to carry out any assignment for Nascentinel Intelligence to the best of his ability. Having survived on Cratious IV for eight years, it’s not surprising he has adopted a lone wolf attitude. But while Admiral Peterson does at times despair and wishes the agent was more of a team player, he is nevertheless proud of him and understands that it is only due to the agent’s caring nature that he prefers to take on the danger of an assignment alone, rather than accept help from others.
Cool, calm and collected under pressure, Stacey has the ability to think outside the box. He is also willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good and believes wholeheartedly in the virtues of the Terratinuum. Despite being admired for his great strength, courage and determination, he comes across as a modest man who is only too happy to give others credit for their help.
Charismatic and extremely good-looking, he has no trouble attracting the opposite sex. He also inspires loyalty and devotion in others. In his spare time, he likes nothing better than the company of a woman who is attractive, intelligent and strong-minded, an agreeable meal and music. When he is in the mood, he needs no persuasion to get up and dance, and it is that quality which women tend to find appealing.
His motto is ‘Live for the present and appreciate the moment, because you can never change the past and the future is uncertain for each and every one of us.’

Captain Jon Tarriq
A mountain of a man and a warrior at heart, Jon Tarriq has earned the respect of his crew over the years due to being an excellent captain. But before he was known as Jon Tarriq, he went by the name of Jon Shannon. And prior to that, he went by another name. So who exactly is the mysterious Tarkavian?
His first officer Sam Garrett maintains he knows him the best. However, Garrett has a tendency to exaggerate. Dr Morrigan certainly knows about the mental conditioning that all Tarkavians have, which fairly dictate that they despise telepaths. But other than the fact that both officers know that the captain is deeply in love with Tamara Merrill, he is a mystery to them.
In the second book Endgame, more of his past starts to unravel. He spent his childhood on Tarkavia and had a brother, but the fact that he hadn’t been back to the planet since, suggests he left it on bad terms. He does have a sister though, who is attempting to get her medical diploma at the Varesse Medical University on the planet Rajenka.
Having cast off the duties of a spacecruiser captain for a while and experienced what it is like to be an agent with Nascentinel Intelligence, Tarriq has reached a crossroads in his life. Danger and excitement await him if he becomes a Special Investigation Agent. But if he stays with the woman he loves, his warrior-half will die. What will his decision be?

Wallace Quagarman
If you were on a cruise ship that was sinking in the middle of the ocean, Wallace Quagarman is the last person you would want to have with you, as he would be the first person to shove you aside in order to head for the nearest lifeboat.
Like any Jackara, he is intelligent and has a strong desire to be successful, powerful and rich. However, when the body of a Security Patrol Officer was selected for him, in his haste to matter-merge his marine body into the brain of the Simonian, he made the mistake of underestimating the officer's strong desire to live. Now, with his personality severely compromised, the Jackara has to grapple with a conscience that has been planted in his soul. That makes Quagarman unpredictable and very dangerous.
Since Jason Stacey is the embodiment of heroism, it is only natural that Quagarman despises him. But when the Arlonian outsmarts him time and again, the Jackara starts to develop a healthy respect for his enemy.

Computer Officer Tamara Merrill
Gorgeous, intelligent and brave, Tamara is a woman who knows her own mind. Sociable in nature, she is always good company and with her love of fashion, has no trouble picking the right outfit for any occasion.
On the surface, she appears to be Human and tends to wear her waist-length black hair in a thick plait that hangs down her back. But she is, in fact, a Neo’waine, which makes her capable of manipulating the strands of her hair with the barest of thought. She can also generate an electrical current of 600 volts and send it down the strands of her hair in order to defend herself. The voltage is enough to stun a man.

Abducted from her primitive planet as a child by Slavador Baron Lisztin-Po, she was purchased by a wealthy couple to replace their daughter who had died at a young age. As a result, she grew up in a loving home in Ottawa, Canada, and received a fine education. But behind her vivacious smile, she hides the fact that she misses her twin brother tremendously. That is why she is so determined to find Lisztin-Po, as he knows where her brother was sold as a slave.
But there is one man who makes her heart skip a beat and that is Jon Tarriq. His mere presence is enough to cause the colour to rise sharply in her face and her eyes to shine. But as Second Officer of the Atlantean, any kind of relationship between them would be wholly inappropriate. But you never know, circumstances may change.

Pulsareena
As beautiful and innocent as a lone snowdrop, yet as deadly as an anaconda, Pulsareena has the uncanny ability to tap the nervous systems of her victims in order to paralyse them, before squeezing the life out of them with her strong coils. As a Medusophidian, she exudes a sexual magnetism, is devious and particularly enjoys killing her own sex. She is the wife of Captain Kuzmenko, who commands the opal-class spaceship Nereus. All in all, this is one lady you don’t want to mess with.
Second-Commander Luna O’Shea
Attached to the Security Patrol on Simos Two, Luna O’Shea considers herself to be average-looking. But what she lacks for in looks, she makes up for with personality and intelligence. Immensely loyal to the Security Patrol, she is an outstanding pilot and is held in high esteem by the squad she commands. But when her suspicions about Captain Kuzmenko prove to be correct, it's plain she needs to take action. The only question is, with Pulsareena on the scene, has she left it too late?

Newsfeed
The third book in the Jackara series, ‘Severed Timeline,' follows on from ‘Endgame,’ and finds Jon Tarriq and many of his crew undergoing training at the Pythian Facility on the planet Dannomeade Cray in order to become agents with Nascentinel Intelligence. But when a fierce storm breaks out, none of them are prepared for what follows.
Having made the decision to resign as a Special Investigation Agent, Commander Jason Stacey braces himself for the protests of his boss and his friends, while preparing himself mentally for a life of solitude in an isolated part of the galaxy. However, the Fates have other ideas. Forced to take sides when two powerful entities lock horns, Stacey finds himself with no choice but to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save everyone. But will he return from the far shore?
In this book, more of Stacey’s past emerges in the days after his death. For everyone remotely connected to him, it is a time of grief and uncertainty. But when evidence comes to light that all is not as it should be, Tarriq makes the momentous decision to roll the dice in the hope of pulling off a miracle. The big question is, can a severed timeline be repaired?
Jackara - Severed Timeline is available to buy in 2025.
